Tiger Nation Families,
It is almost time to start the 2024-25 school year! The summer went by way too fast but I am ready to get students and staff back in the building. This year will be a great year at EMS and I look forward to working with each of you to meet the needs of our students.
I am sending this information sheet to answer a few questions you may have about middle school. If you have additional questions, please feel free to give us a call at EMS Monday-Friday from 7:00-3:00.
Skyward
Your student’s schedule, locker and bus route will be available in Skyward on August 5th in the afternoon. If you have not completed the registration process, you will not see your student’s schedule.
Open House
On August 8th, EMS will be hosting our annual Open House from 5:15-7:15. During this time, students will be able to access their lockers, tour the building and walk-thru their schedule. Teachers will be on hand to meet students and answer questions. This is also a great time to update health forms with the nurse and stop by the office to pay your school fees. Free and reduced meal applications and fee waivers will be available as well.
The Tiger Nation Booster Club will be on hand with brand new Eisenhower gear. Don’t forget to stop at their table and purchase your 2024-25 TNBC Membership passes!
EMS Website
Throughout the school year, we will be posting announcements and relevant information on our school website. Teacher emails, classroom pages, school menus, and sports pages are also available. Please visit our website at Eisenhower Middle School.
You may also sign up for the app by downloading the USD 265 Goddard Public schools app through your app store. Once you have downloaded the app, you can choose EMS and receive notifications that are relevant to the school.

Lockers
All students will receive a locker and combination which will be printed on their schedule. Students are not allowed to share lockers or give the combination to other students. P.E. locks will also be provided at no cost to the student. Only school issued locks are allowed in the hallways and P.E. locker rooms. There will be a $5.00 charge if the P.E. lock is lost or stolen.
P.E. Clothes
P.E. clothes are required for all students. The basic P.E. uniform is a plain white t-shirt, black gym shorts, tennis shoes and white socks. The P.E. Department will be selling Tiger t-shirts and shorts at the beginning of the school year. Ms. Mouse and Mr. Hogan will hand out details for ordering “Tiger P.E. Gear” on the first day of school. Students may wear sweats during cold weather. Please clearly mark your child’s clothing.
Chromebooks
All students will be issued a Chromebook to us during school hours. Chromebooks are property of the school district and should remain at school unless prior approval is granted by staff. All damages to the Chromebook will be applied to the student's school account for payment
Cellphones
Students may bring their cellphones to school for use before and after school. During the school day, all devices must be turned off and secured in their locker. There is a student phone in the main office if students need to call home for any reason.
2024-2025 Free/Reduced Online Meal Application
The 2024-2025 Free/Reduced Price Online Meal Application is available in LINQ Connect. Find Goddard Unified School District 265 (Goddard, Kansas) and proceed with the online application. If you need a paper application please visit any of our school buildings to pick one up
Add Meal Money
This year the Nutrition Services Department has partnered with LINQ. To add money to your student’s account, download the LINQ Connect app from your app store or visit LINQ Connect. Click “Register” to create your account. Your student may also bring money to add to their account. They will drop it off to Carrie Hamm, Building Treasurer.
Picture Day
Strawbridge will be at EMS on August 27th for all school pictures. All students and staff will have their picture taken during the day for the pictures that will be in the yearbook. More information will be posted on the EMS website or follow the following link. Fall Pictures
Rank One
All sports physicals will be submitted through Rank One. We have published instructions for this process on all of our social media channels and school website. The Goddard Public Schools activity packet forms are also available for your signature on the Rank One site. Forms must be submitted through the Rank One website and not the app. To access the Rank One portal you can visit the EMS Website under the athletics section or go to the following link. Rank One
Fall Sports Practices
Fall Sports practices will begin on August 19th. We will have information available to be picked up at Open House. Announcements will be made the first week of school for students as well
Drop Off/Pick up
Safety is priority during drop off and pick up times. Below is the map for traffic flow around EMS from 7:00-7:35 and again from 2:30-3:10. The parking lot is marked with arrows directing the traffic flow. We will also have cones blocking access to the lane moving north to south in front of the building.
The areas marked for buses are for bus drop off and pick up only. Please do not park or wait in areas marked with red circles on the map.
